Description: 

The database indexes over 1,700 journals published worldwide, including state historical society journals. In addition to articles, 6,000 citations of book and media reviews and abstracts of dissertations are included. Also included in the electronic database are CLIO Notes, a research guide that has concise overviews of 22 major historical periods designed to help identify major issues and events; detailed chronologies to give context to those issues and events; and suggestions for papers and class discussions.

PILOTS Database (Published International Literature on Traumatic Stress)

Description: 

The PILOTS bibliographic database, covering the Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress. Its goal is to include citations to all literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic events, without disciplinary, linguistic, or geographical limitations, and to offer both current and retrospective coverage.

Worldwide Political Science Abstracts (Proquest)

Description: 

CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts provides citations, abstracts, and indexing of the international relations, law, and public administration/policy. The database is building on the merged backfiles of Political Science Abstracts, 1975-2000, and ABC POL SCI, 1984-2000. Over 1,700+ titles are being monitored for coverage.

Philosopher's Index

Description: 

The Philosopher's Index is a bibliographic database with informative, author-written abstracts covering scholarly research in all areas of philosophy. The literature covered goes back to 1940 and includes journal articles, books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews. The Philosopher's Index monitors over 550 journals from more than 40 countries and is updated quarterly. Extensive indexing includes personal and proper names along with subject terms; there is also the capability to search for the authors of book reviews.
