LIB101: Information Literacy and Library Research Skills

The Library offers a series of core workshops designed to teach library research and information literacy skills at your own pace through Algoma University's Course Management System (powered by Moodle).

 

LIB101: Information Literacy and Library Research Skills has five modules:

  1. Known item searching
  2. Beginning your library research
  3. Searching for books on your topic
  4. Searching for articles on your topic
  5. Using the Internet/Web as an academic tool

Each module is divided into discrete learning objectives. At the end of each objective you can take a quiz on what you have learned.

There is no course enrolment key for LIB101. You simply need to login to the Course Management System using your Algoma University (email/ myalgomau.ca) credentials and join LIB101.
