Accessibility and E-Book News
This week, the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) Accessible Content ePortal (ACE) service passed a major milestone. With the support of our digitization partner, Internet Archive Canada, as well as our 18 participating universities and 22 colleges, we have grown our collection of accessible books for Ontario academic library users with print disabilities to over 10,000 titles.
In addition the Scholars Portal E-Book service reports this week that there are now more than 700,000 e-books available through the Scholars Portal ebooks platform for Ontario's universities, including Algoma University.
OCUL's services are directed by the heads of each of Ontario's university library systems. OCUL collaborates and innovates and pools resources and funding to deliver a common suite of learning and research services and content to all of Ontario's universities.
